A Day In The Life of a 2 Year Old

The day before my son’s third birthday I documented his last day as a two year old.  These photos are everything I want to remember my sweet two year old as long after he is grown up – feisty, curious, full of wonder and excitement.

The thing I love most about capturing a day in the life is sitting back and witnessing the magic of simple things as they unfold.  There is no posing or planning, it just real genuine moments that can never be replicated.

(There are a lot of photos here because I was capturing an entire day.  I missed getting up and breakfast time, but I managed to catch from then on until bed time).

Day in the life in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

I didn’t plan to stop nursing him, he just kind of weaned himself shortly after his third birthday, as my first two did around the same age. Grateful now to have this sweet moment preserved, because little did I know this would be one of the last times he would nurse himself to sleep.
